This is another late entry into our Ayob Clan Blog among the many more to come. There's just too many things that come in the way taking up my time but I will gradually add in the stories as and when time permits...as the saying goes "better late than never".
This time lets bring back memories of the evening when we were all at KLIA International Airport to send Bang Long off to UK for his further studies.
The plan to send Bang Long off at KLIA was set during the kenduri at Simpang Empat. Some will leave from KL, some from Seremban and of course the main team leaving from their S4 home.
By the time I got to KLIA, it was almost 8.00pm and everyone were already there...Mama & family, Pak Su and family and also Lubok Cina members. Unfortunately, Pelangi Semenyih group could not make it.
It was more of a get together makan-makan at KLIA as there were lots of things to eat but not enough time to do it. Everyone were busy going round the KLIA terminal or just chit chatting and sharing stories.
This is the main Ayob Clan group at the left end entrance of the complex seating area. Wan and Ili chatting away while the two Aunties next to them are doing the same.
...and he goes round making new friends, too.
Like I said, theres plenty of food to eat and Afiq is making sure nothing goes to waste.
Bang Long's buddy, Sarip could not make it to the airport, but his Dad and Brother could. Here Bang Long introduces them to Ayah...and Ayah waste no time to start a conversation with his new acquaintance.
Another of Bang Long's buddy, Azim was also at the airport to see Bang Long off. He's back in Malaysia for summer holidays and would be flying back to UK in a weeks time. Snack time at KLIA McD...Azim, Bang Long and Sarip's Dad.
Quietly, we all planned a surprise for Bang Long. Aunty Khamisah suggested we buy a Bon Voyage card and have everybody write something in it. The surprise is to hand the card just before Bang Long check into the departure gate.
Ayah was given the honour to pen his well wishes to his eldest son.
Ibu followed through...I heard there were tears of sadness and joy when Ibu was writing her words of encouragement..."Kasih nya Ibu...".
Kak Ayang happens to be on duty that day and her shift ended when we were all there...so, she was also asked to write a word or two with the two girls, Afiqah & Nabila inquisitively looking over her shoulder.
As usual, the luggage has to be checked in first...making sure all tags are intact.

Now that everything is in order, the time has come to say good bye...

Parting is so so hard to do...I will miss you my son. Take good care of yourself.

And so ended our episode at KLIA. After all the salams and goodbyes, we all headed back to our homes. Wan Rembau following Ayah & Ibu, Mama and family back to Sri Manja, Induk Awin back to her Puchong home, Lubok Cina family back to Lubok Cina much earlier.
My episode continued with sending Kak Ayang back to her quarters with Zaid tagging along for me to send back to his hostel the next day. Being me, we did a pit stop at a makan stall for late supper.
By the time we reached Seremban, it was somthing like 2.00am. It was a tiring day but full of events.
We wish Bang Long All The Best in his studies. May he do well and make the family proud.
